The language of living
We would like to think that we live our lives in the real world. Yet, in reality, that’s not the case. Everything out there that we take in through our senses is filtered and interpreted through our individual psychology. In the process, we put our own spin on it all, one that strongly influences our feelings, our thoughts, our words, and of course, our actions.

What is shame?
Basically, it’s not meeting up to your fantasy of yourself, or someone else’s fantasy of you.
We all feel it sometimes.
Yet, some of us really suffer with it.
And they’ll never get better until they take action.

Pregnancy promotes expectations in most future moms.
Ones that could feel dashed by the reality of motherhood, and lead to postpartum depression.
And that can undercut the unconditional love so needed for the healthy development of any infant.

Sadness knows no season
Sadness. We’ve all felt it sometimes in our lives.
Yet, what if you felt it most of the time?
A deep, ceaseless sadness that seems to sap your strength of spirit.
Sadly, that’s not as uncommon as you think.
Because like so many things, people learn to hide it well.
And cycle in and out of the shadows of sorrow.
